Meet the Speaker
Born and raised in Houston, James Wooten attended St. John’s School where his love for science developed. He then went on to MIT where he studied physics and planetary science, and received his master’s in Astronomy at Rice. James has been inspiring curiosity and a love for science for decades. His journey began in 1986 as an Ecoteen, and by 1996, he became an Astronomer at HMNS. Since 1995, he has also been a dedicated teacher with HISD, where he incorporates planetarium shows and his passion for science into his teaching, creating unforgettable learning experiences for his students.
