Experience the vibrant colors and flavors of India at our upcoming World Trekkers event! Purchase tantalizing treats from Raja Sweets restaurant that will ignite your taste buds, and immerse yourself in the rhythmic beats with a dazzling performance by Bollywood Dance Central. Get creative at our craft stations, where you can make a paper fan peacock and a paper Diwali lamp. The fun doesn’t stop there – enjoy balloon art, face painting and henna tattoos throughout the evening. Join us for an unforgettable celebration that brings the spirit of India to life!

Sugar Land Member Night: Mystery of the Mayan Medallion

Yoga Night

Experience serenity amidst the oceanic wonders of Glassell Hall. Roll out your yoga mat and let the soothing guidance of our instructor, Auhona Hoq, transport you to a state of nirvana. After the session, indulge in a complimentary cup of juice from Juiceland and take a leisurely stroll through our newly renovated exhibit, Matter & Motion. Join us for an evening of tranquility and rejuvenation.

*This class is suitable for all levels of yogis, including beginners.

Supporting Member Soiree: Motown Night

This member event is exclusively for Supporting level (Discoverer + Benefactor) and H.P. Attwater Society members. You can add up to two tickets to your cart, and your benefits will be automatically applied at no additional cost. For any extra tickets, the cost is $100 per ticket.

July 13, 2024 – Shark Week!

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Come make a splash this summer with Sharks! The Meg, the Monsters & the Myths. As a member, you’ll get exclusive early access to explore the exhibit without the crowds. Meet the legendary shark tooth diver John  “JT” Taylor, a retired Navy Diver and underwater commercial paleontologist with over 30 years of experience. Snap a picture with him and ask all your burning questions. And if you need a breather, join us in Glassell Hall for a shark-themed craft activity and if you are one of the first 100 members, you will receive a Shark tooth necklace to show off. Don’t miss out on the fun!

August 10, 2024 – Women Astronomers Day

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Celebrate Women Astronomers Day with a fun craft activity where you can make your own telescope using recycled toilet paper rolls in Glassell Hall. As a special treat for our members, we’re opening the Burke Baker Planetarium early exclusively for you. Just show your member card at the Burke Baker Planetarium and explore a galaxy far, far away.

Planetarium Shows:

  • Unseen Universe at 8:30 a.m.
  • Black Holes at 9:00 a.m.
