Summer Camp

Campers are escorted to the after camp classrooms at the end of the camp day. Campers are supervised as they play games or do craft activities in the classrooms. A snack is provided in the afternoon. Campers must be picked up by 5:30 PM, after which an extra charge of $1.00 per minute will be applied.

Campers must be checked in at the sign-in table in the museum each morning. Campers are supervised as they play games or watch a movie. Campers are escorted to their camp room at 10 AM.

Visit areas the public never sees, including projection booths, live animal rooms, and more. Take photographs with a digital camera and create a publication to share your discoveries. Basic technology experience with laptops and digital cameras may be helpful for this camp!

Experiment with things that go BOOM, from foaming chemicals to popping balloons. Then, create various flying machines using paper, straws, funnels, balls, balloons, and more.

Discover which shapes make the strongest structures by constructing bridges, buildings, and more. Then have fun demolishing some of your creations while exploring how architects make buildings strong.
