In-Person Summer Camp at HMNS
A summer of education and adventure awaits your child at HMNS. The Houston Museum of Natural Science offers educational summer science adventures for kids at the Houston Museum of Natural Science main museum location in Hermann Park! Your child will have fun exploring science in a variety of ways through one of our action-packed summer science camp experiences.
More sensational science than ever before! New topics for 2025: T. rex Explorers for ages 6-7, Shark Camp for ages 6-7 and 8-9, Ecology Engineers for ages 10-12, and Trainer Camp for ages 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12.
Returning favorites include: Junior Paleontologist for ages 6-7, Mummies & Mysteries for ages 6-7, Crazy for Coding for ages 6-7, Junior Science Magic for ages 6-7, Minecraft Mania: Coding Adventure Camp for ages 8-9, Master Spy Camp for ages 8-9 and 10-12, Movie Monster Maker for ages 10-12, Camp Half Blood for ages 8-9 and 10-12, Camp Jupiter for ages 8-9 and 10-12, and Escape Camp for ages 10-12.

- Biology Camps, including Shark Camp, Man’s Best Friend, Amazing Animals, Weird Science, and Get Set to Be A Vet.
- Chemistry Camps, including Culinary Hero, Junior Science Magic, Booms and Blast Offs, Wizard Science Academy, Kitchen Chemistry, Bedazzled, Crime Scene Investigators and Super Science Magic.
- Space Camps, including Space Cadet, Space Pilot, and Senior Space Commanders.
- Coding Camps, including Minecraft Mania: Coding Adventure Camp, Crazy for Coding, and Lego Robotics.
- Robotics Camps, including Riveting Robots and Lego Robotics.
- Physics Camps, including Maker Lab Alpha, Maker Lab Beta, Booms and Blast Offs, Junior Science Magic, Water Works, Extreme Machines, Fast & Furious and Design and Destroy

A summer of education and adventure awaits your child at HMNS. Our In-Person Summer Camps will be held at the main Houston Museum of Natural Science location and at HMNS Sugar Land.
HMNS Summer Camps are week-long, hands-on science summer camps featuring science activities for children ages 6 – 12. Camps are held Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 pm, unless otherwise noted. For an additional weekly fee, care is available before camp begins each day, from 8 – 10 a.m., and after camp ends, from 3 – 5:30 p.m.

Camp Information
HMNS Summer Camps are week-long, hands-on science summer camps featuring science activities for children ages 6 – 12. Camps are held Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted. For an additional weekly fee, care is available before camp begins each day, from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m., and after camp ends, from 3:00 – 5:30 p.m.
Summer Camps at the main museum in Hermann Park will be held weekly during the following periods:
- May 27-30, 2025 (Four-Day Week)
- June 2-6, 2025
- June 16-18 and 20, 2025 (Four-Day Week)
- June 23-27, 2025
- July 7-11, 2025
- July 14-18, 2025
- August 4-8, 2025
