Class Information
Week-long Five and Four-Day classes and Two and One-day classes are scheduled for the summer. Week-long classes include numerous badges and one and two-day scout classes focus on one badge.
Class hours are 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Extended care is available for an additional fee, before class begins each day, from 8 – 10 a.m., and after class ends, from 3 – 5:30 p.m. Please Note: Summer Scouts Extended Day is not available at the Sugar Land Museum.
For summer 2025, Summer Scout classes at the main museum will be held the weeks of:
- June 9-13 (Five, Two, and One-Day Classes)
- June 30-July 3 (Four, Two and One-Day classes)
- July 21-25 (Five, Two, and One-Day classes)
Ages
Classes follow the same guidelines as the BSA and Girl Scouts, as applicable, and are generally based on the grade that the Scout will be attending in the fall.
Scout classes are designed for boys or girls who are interested in the topic and can be attended by any child in the correct age range for the class.
- Scouts BSA: 6th grade – 17 years old:
- Webelos: 4th – 5th grade;
- Bears: 3rd grade;
- Wolves: 2nd grade,
- Tigers: 1st grade
- Girl Scouts: Daisy: K – 1st grade;
- Brownies: 2nd – 3rd grade;
- Juniors: 4th – 5th grade;
- Cadettes: 6th – 8th grade
- Seniors: 9th – 10th grade
