Prerequisites: Requirements 3 & 7a, b,& c must be completed with troop leader approval. Explore how our local governments work within their community and their part within the community.

Sky is the Limit – take a tour of the night sky, exploring planets, stars and constellations. Burke Baker Planetarium included. Tiger Cub classes are designed for Scouts currently in the 1st grade. One free adult with purchase of a child’s ticket. A Parent/chaperon must stay with the scout.

Forensics – Calling all Sherlock Holmes! Investigate the science used to solve crimes. (STEM)

Digging in the Past – take your dinosaur adventure to the next level with the largest paleontology hall in North America! (STEM NOVA)

Engineer – Explore different engineers and create an engineering project, while using the engineering process. (STEM NOVA) Arrow of Light classes are designed for Scouts currently in grade 5. One free adult with purchase of a child’s ticket. A Parent/chaperone may stay with the scout.

Into the Wild – Study a wild animal and how this animal exists in their ecosystem. Arrow of Light classes are designed for Scouts currently in grade 5. One free adult with purchase of a child’s ticket. A Parent/chaperone may stay with the scout.

Code of the Wolf – explore how fun using math can be. Wolf Cub classes are designed for Scouts currently in the 2nd grade. One free adult with purchase of a child’s ticket. A Parent/chaperon may stay with the scout.

What Robots do and How Robots Move – Explore how engineers design robots to perform different tasks and create a program that could be run by a robot. Daisies classes are for Girl Scouts currently in Grades K–1. One free adult with purchase of a child’s ticket. A Parent/chaperon may stay with the scout.

Junior – Programming Robots – Learn the step by step instructions that programmers use to develop an understanding needed to program robots. Junior classes are for Girl Scouts currently in Grades 4–5. One free adult with purchase of a child’s ticket. A Parent/chaperon may stay with the scout.

Prerequisites: Requirements 2A & B1–4, 8A–D Explore budgets, finance, and investment strategies. This merit badge is recommended for older scouts.

Prerequisites: Requirements 8a or b & 9a or c Learn about reptiles and amphibians, their similarities, and differences, with the Museum’s live animal collection!

Earth Rocks – With an 850 pound amethyst geode, and a world-renowed Cullen Hall of Gems and Minerals, is there a better place to learn about geology than HMNS?! Get your hands on real specimens, and learn why rocks rock! (STEM NOVA)

Brownie Coding Basics – Explore the basic step by step algorithms used in coding and apply these towards creating a game.

Cadettes – Programming Robots – Learn the step by step instructions that programmers use to develop an understanding needed to program robots.

Critter Care – Pets are fun, and exciting to own! Learn the responsibilities of owning a pet, if you have one or thinking about asking for one. Bear Cub classes are designed for Scouts currently in the 3rd grade. One free adult with purchase of a child’s ticket. A Parent/chaperon must stay with the scout.

Curiosity, Intrigue & Magical Mysteries – discover some new magic tricks and the awesome science behind them! Tiger Cub classes are designed for Scouts currently in the 1st grade. One free adult with purchase of a child’s ticket. A Parent/chaperon must stay with the scout.

How do different countries get along? Do events affect a country’s economy, security, and health of its citizens? Scouts will discuss international relations, the various political systems and what it means to be a world citizen.

Prerequisites: Requirements 3, 4, 5 and 6ab – family meeting instructions are found in the prerequisite workbook Scouts will learn the roles families play within the community, the importance of family life, and how to strengthen their own families.

Prerequisites: Requirement 7e Explore the practices of conservation involving soil and water and the care of these natural resources.

Into the Woods – discuss the importance of plants and trees and examine their impact on your everyday life. (STEM NOVA)

Germs Alive – Discover how germs spread, grow your own mold garden and make some snot. While learning how to keep you healthy. Wolf Cub classes are designed for Scouts currently in the 2nd grade. One free adult with purchase of a child’s ticket. A Parent/chaperon may stay with the scout.

Explore human cultures through the clues they left behind. Examine Museum artifacts, complete a mock dig, and create a cuneiform tablet.

Champions for Nature (Webelos) – Discover animal conservation in this adventure! Learn about how the animals we share this earth with and the impact we can make with conservation efforts! Webelos classes are designed for Scouts currently in grade 4. One free adult with purchase of a child’s ticket. A Parent/chaperon may stay with the scout.

Balancing Bears – Investigate math in nature and patterns in animals.

Junior Art and Design – Experiment with different elements, composition, art styles used in art and design.

Brownies Art and Design – Explore elements, composition and mediums used in art and design.
